Caribbean

Santo Domingo

This beach is from Santo Domingo, in the Caribbean, a place where I really want to go.
I love summer, tavelling and beaches and it is said that in the Caribbean the beaches are wonderful.

A trip there with friends will be a memorable time. If I go there, everything will be different: different people, food, culture, and beautiful scenaries. I'd like to be there somedays and live new experiences.

Also, I know some friends from there and if will be nice to meet them in person and they can be our guides.

My mother told me that if I pass this year and I go to the university, this summer she will pay me a trip to somewhere, and if I have to choose, with no doubt I'll choose Santo Domingo.

I think everybody should go on a trip every X time, to scape from stress and forget about their problems, and know new cultures and accept the other people no matter their skin color is, or where are they from. That would be a nice experience to live.

So, who wants to go there with me?:)!

The Family Crew!!

The Family Crew

This crew formed by two moroccan guys, went to a famous TV show called "Arab's Got Talent" and they were choosed as the best in their category. The Show is still airing so I still don't know if they're going to win, but I hope so! They're really amazing.

Arab's got talent it's the arabic version of Tu Si Que Vales, that participate people from all around the arabic countries and all ages.

They're Tareek and Samir and their dance skills will let you wanting more. Of course they're B-Boys as all crews (for example AOM Crew - a b-boy band from Seattle)

Here you can see the first performance, were everybody was really surprised and they pass so easily. They told them they're profesionals so they don't have to come to this kind of show.

After this performance, the second one was incredible too, but I prefer the first one.

if you don't understand what they're saying (I'm pretty sure) it doesn't matter, just look at the dance.

This second time they also pass but we're still waiting for the Final.

I hope you enjoy this wonderfull performances and I sure you will ;)

My Cousin

She's my cousin, her name is Sheima and she's a year older than me, that means she's about to be 20.

She's dark-haired as you can see, she's my same height. Her eyes are big and dark and her face shape is round.

She's a shy girl but once she gets enough confidence with someone its hard to make her shut up. She loves to meet new people and she's so nice to everyone. But if she hates someone no matter what you do or say about that person in a good way she will always talk negatively about it.

About her studies she's studing Arts in Figueres, in 2nd Batxillerat too, and they're currently working in clothes desing and making books coverts and posters.

We know each other since birth and we're always together. We explain everything to each other, there is no secrets between us, and at same time she's my neighbor. Next year we're going to be able to see each other just once in a week, because I'm going to Girona for studies and she's going to Barcelona.

I think that's all for now :) See you on the next post!

The Scream by Edward Munch

"My friends walked on and there I still stood, trembling with fear - and I sensed a great, infinite scream run through nature."

- Edvard Munch

The Scream by Edward Munch is a disturbing icon of modern art (Expresionism = Expresionisme) that we all can indentify with. We know what it is to feel as the subject does and his plight generates fear and sympathy in equal mesure.

One theory advanced to account for the reddish sky in the background is that Munch had observed an effect of the powerful volcanic eruption of Krakatoa in 1883: the ash that was ejected from the volcano left the sky tinted red in much of eastern United States and most of Europe and Asia from the end of November 1883 to the middle of February 1884.

This explanation has been disputed by scholars who note that Munch was an expressive (Expresionism = Expresionisme), rather than a descriptive painter.

I personaly like this painting because of the many colors you find in. It's very expressive and it shows the feeling of stress and surprise. Seems like he's covering his ears from something and at the same time his mouth its opened, like screaming. He looks afraid of something,

I heard that Munich had a traumatic life and this was a period where painters were so afraid about what's going to happen in the next century.

The scene is located in Oslo, where Munich is. He studied in Paris and Italy. This man is suposed to be inspired on a Peruvian Mummy he saw.

Where do we Come from? What are We? Where Are we Going?

Is this "person" screaming, or covering his ears from someone who's screaming??

Slumdog Millionaire

Lately, I've watched this film and I really liked it. So many people watched it a couple of years before but I was feeling lazy to watch it because as far as I know, Indian movies are full of fights, love and lots of emotive scenes, but this movie was diferent; was special.

Plot Synopsis:

A Mumbai teen who grew up in the slums, becomes a contestant on the Indian version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" He is arrested under suspicion of cheating, and while being interrogated, events from his life history are shown which explain why he knows the answers.

I don't want to explain more things about the plot because it will ruin the movie for those who haven't seen it yet, but I recommend it. I watched it because my cousin's boyfriend recommended it to us and we watched it together.

Here you have the trailer:

Ophiuchus, the new Horoscop

The Indian astronom Park Kunkle has triggered the alarm between horoscop lover. In a interview on the diary Minnesota Star Tribute, of which has been echoed by several media, Kunkle said that the modern Zodiac Signs are mistaken. In the Zodiac we have to know that, 3,000 years before, the gravity of the moon changed and this affected the stars changing its posiitons and making a new Zodiac Sign.

The new Sign is called Ophiuchus and it affects to those persons who born between 30th november and 17th December, the actual Sagitario.

When these news came, in 48h became a hot topic searched in Google, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves and Naver.

The new distribution of the Zodiac is:

Capricornio: from 20th January to 16 February

Acuario: from 16th February to 11th of March

Picis: from 11th March to 18 April

Aries: from 18th April to 13th May

Tauro: from 13th June to 21 June

Geminis: from 21th of June to 20t July

Cancer: from 20th July to 10th August

Leo: from 10th August to 16th September

Virgo: from 16th september to 30th October

Libra: from 30th October to 23th November

Escorpio: from 23th Nobember to 29th november

Ophiuchus: from 29th November to 17th December

Sagitario: from 17th December yo 20th January

If you're one of those people who were born between 29 November and 17th December.- it’s called the man's time with the snake - as the horoscopic synthesis says, you are a good interpreter of dreams, you have talent on premonity and you attract the good luck to you, you have a natural passion for alchemy and, you like bright colors, you number is twelve and you could be a good architect as Imotep.

Ophiuchus is a large constellation located around the celestial equator.

Its name is from the Greek "serpent-bearer", and it is commonly represented as a man graSping the snake that is represented by the constellation Serpens. Ophiuchus was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd-century astronomer Ptolomeo, and it remains one of the 88 modern constellations. It was formerly referred to as Serpentarius, a Latin word meaning the same as its current name.

Actually this fenomenon caused lots of problems like personality transtorn, lots of people are asking themselves who they are and they feel like they were living a lie, obviously, this just happens to some crazy people.
